If you are in an MS Teams meeting, you may not want to receive any calls on your MS Teams app.
There are two ways you can do this:
1 - Forward to your vm box (99+extension)
Calls will no longer ring on the 'other' MS Teams app, if you're using the desktop app calls will no longer ring your mobile; they will be sent straight to voicemail
2 - Set your status to DND
Calls will no longer ring on the MS Teams app on which you have set the DND status; this is not synced across multiple devices.
Here are the steps needed to use both methods, below.
1 - Forward to your vm box (99+extension)
If you've forwarded to your voicemail box before, then that option will already be present under the 'forward calls to' dialogue, which can be found at the bottom of the 'calls' panel.
This displays as 'don't forward' when forwarding is not enabled:
When you click on 'don't forward', the dialogue will pop up:
** IMPORTANT ** since your system does not make use of the Teams voicemail system, do not select the 'forward to voicemail' option. Instead, select the '99xxxx' option that is used to forward your calls to voicemail.
If you have not already used this feature, then you'll need to set it up.
Click on 'More Settings' to open the below dialogue:
Tap 'New number or contact', and enter '99xxxx', where 'xxxx' is your extension number.
Your calls will be forwarded, and that number will then be available as a 'saved' forwarding option.
2 - Set your status to DND
When you set your status to 'Do Not Disturb', incoming calls and notifications no longer ring on the device that you set 'DND' on.
This is found in the top-right in the MS Teams desktop app, and in the top-left in the mobile app.
Select 'Do not disturb' and calls will no longer ring you.
When you want to remove DND, select 'Reset Status':
